Social development with this age group the children will strive for independence. Teachers will encourage the children to branch out and work more independently in the Learning centers. Teacher directed activities will increase from the Toddler program, sharing on music, stories, building concepts and ideas, allowing the children to think and build on the ideas previously established in the Toddler class.
At this age, children will begin to interact more closely with their peers, and engage with cooperative play. We will be learning to resolve conflict and build friendships.
